In short

TownInsider is a curated AI holiday companion that letting agents and holiday-let owners give to their guests — hand-picked local recommendations, never pay-to-play, free to launch with.

What your guests get

Every guest who stays with you arrives in a town they may not know. TownInsider gives them someone to ask — a local AI guide with a name and a personality of their own, shaped by the place rather than by a tourist brochure. In Padstow that guide is Morwenna, who speaks like someone who has lived there: lyrical, observant, never glossy.

Your guests open it on their phone and simply ask. Where to eat for ten pounds, and where to eat for fifty. Which walk suits the weather and the tide. When the ferry crosses, when the lobster boats come in, what is on this week. It remembers what they have already asked, so it never repeats itself — and at the end of the stay it gives them a printable trip memory of every recommendation, every walk, every café, in one document they can keep.

The curation promise

This is the part that matters most to you. When you hand a guest a recommendation, your name is on it. If the guide sends them somewhere disappointing, that reflects on you — not on us. So TownInsider is built around a promise: a recommendation is earned, never bought.

Every place to eat must clear a fixed quality bar before it is included — strong ratings across more than one independent review platform, and a high official food-hygiene rating. The bar is the same for everyone. No restaurant, café or business can pay to appear, and none can pay for a better position. If a place slips below the bar, it comes out. Walks, beaches and quiet corners are hand-picked on genuine local knowledge, not pulled from a scrape of whatever ranks highest online.

Most digital guides are either filled in by whoever owns the property or quietly sell the top spots. TownInsider does neither. That is the difference, and it is the reason a guide like this is safe to put your name behind.

How it works for your properties

There is nothing technical for you to do. TownInsider reaches your guests through a simple printed flyer with a QR code, placed in your welcome pack or in the property. Your guest scans it when they arrive and starts a conversation. The flyers are provided ready to use — you place them, and that is the whole of your part.

Padstow first.

We are building TownInsider one town at a time, and Padstow comes first — small enough to know well, big enough to matter, with a working harbour, a serious food scene and walks that stay with you. The soft launch is July 2026. If you let property in or around Padstow, this is the moment to register.

Coming next to Cornwall

Padstow is the start. These towns are on the roadmap — and where letting agents register their interest helps decide which we build next. If you let property in one of them, registering genuinely moves your town up the list.

Free to launch with. Straight with you about what comes next.

For the launch year, TownInsider costs letting agents and holiday-let owners nothing. No fee to feature, no setup cost, no contract. We would rather prove the thing is genuinely good — that your guests use it and value it — than charge for it before it has earned that.

Once the product is proven, we will introduce simple, fair pricing — because a real business has to be a real business. When that happens you will hear it from us first, in plain language, with proper notice, never as a surprise. The same straight-dealing we apply to the recommendations applies to the pricing. Register your interest now and you are first in line, on the best terms, as TownInsider reaches your town.

Questions agents and owners ask

What is TownInsider?
TownInsider is a chat-driven AI holiday companion built town by town for Cornwall's coastal towns. A guest opens it on their phone, asks questions in plain language, and gets answers from a local AI guide with a distinct personality for their town — food, walks, tides, ferries, what's on this week.
Who is it for — guests or letting agents?
Both, in different ways. Guests are who the product is built to help. Letting agents and holiday-let owners are who distribute it: you give it to your guests as part of their stay. This page is for you — the agents, owners and hosts who hand it on.
How do my guests get access to it?
Through a simple flyer with a QR code, placed in your welcome pack or property. The guest scans it on arrival and starts chatting. There is no app to download and no account to create — it works straight from the web on any phone.
What does it cost me?
Nothing to launch with. For the launch year, TownInsider is free for letting agents and holiday-let owners to distribute — no fee to feature, no setup cost, no contract. Once the product is proven and you have seen the value it brings to your guests, we will introduce simple, fair pricing. When that happens you will hear it from us first, in plain language, with proper notice — never as a surprise. The same straight-dealing we apply to the recommendations applies to the pricing.
How are the recommendations chosen?
Every food recommendation must clear a fixed quality bar — strong ratings across more than one independent review platform, and a high official food-hygiene rating — before it is included. The bar is the same for everyone. Walks, beaches and places are hand-picked on local knowledge.
Can a business pay to be recommended?
No. TownInsider is not pay-to-play. No restaurant, café or business can buy its way into the recommendations, and none can pay for a better position. A recommendation is earned by clearing the quality bar, or it does not appear. This is the core promise.
Why does that matter to me as an agent?
Because your guests trust what you give them. A guide where recommendations are bought would, sooner or later, send a guest somewhere disappointing — and that reflects on you. A genuinely curated guide protects your name as well as theirs.
Which towns are covered?
Padstow is first, with a soft launch in July 2026. St Ives, Newquay, Bude and Mevagissey are on the roadmap. We build one town at a time and only launch a town once its recommendations have been properly checked.
My town is not on the list — can I still register?
Yes, please do. When you register your interest you can tell us your town or area. Knowing where demand is helps us decide which town to build next, so registering genuinely moves your town up the list.
Do I need to do anything technical?
No. There is nothing to install, configure or maintain. You place a flyer; your guest scans it. The flyers are provided ready to use.
Does it keep working when my guests have no signal?
TownInsider is built as a web app that loads quickly and is designed for real-world holiday use. Live information — tides, weather, ferry times, what's on — needs a connection, as it would in any app.
How do I get TownInsider for my properties?
Register your interest using the form on this page. Tell us your agency or business, your area, and roughly how many properties you let. We will be in touch as TownInsider reaches your town.
